The River Course earns its name on the closing stretch, where the Sheboygan River and its oxbows squeeze the fairways and greens—the ground on which Se Ri Pak (1998) and Na-yeon Choi (2012) won the U.S. Women's Open. It is Pete Dye using water as the hazard the whole way home.
