Opened in 1973, the Old Course spends its early holes inland among cypress and homes before the land tilts back toward the ocean. Angles, doglegs and bunker placement matter more here than raw length.
The closing stretch is the draw, ending at a par-4 18th that runs right along the bluff with the Pacific down the entire right side—regularly cited among the better oceanfront finishing holes in the country.
A par 4 of just over 400 yards (403 from the Black tees; the resort lists 405) played straight along the bluff, the ocean and out-of-bounds tight down the right and the clubhouse behind the green. Long a signature of the property and a fixture on lists of memorable oceanfront closers.
