Shorty's is Bandon's newest short course, a 19-hole par-57 routing at 1,997 yards designed by Rod Whitman, Dave Axland, and Keith Cutten—built for exactly the kind of golf you want after your round is already finished.
There's no tee time and no green fee; walk on whenever you like, any time of day, as many times as you want.
Whitman, Axland, and Cutten built Shorty's as a 19-hole par-3 routing from 51 to 152 yards, threading it between Bandon Trails' opening holes and the ocean. Two double greens—the horseshoe-shaped 6th/18th and a 70-yard shared 9th/13th—do double duty, and the course is named for Shorty Dow, the resort's first caretaker and self-appointed governor, mayor, and sheriff.
Greens are scheduled for aeration 28–30 October 2026, with roughly 14 days of recovery after. Expect normal green speeds from about 13 Nov.
