Moab Golf Club plays out of Spanish Valley on the same red sandstone country that draws millions to Arches and Canyonlands—green corridors laid against slickrock fins, juniper, and open desert, with the snow-capped La Sal Mountains standing over the back nine.
At 6,859 yards from the Gold tees (72.8/130), it is a straightforward par 72—the challenge is less the card than the scenery pulling your eyes off the ball. Rates stay modest for a course this photogenic, and the clubhouse snack bar covers breakfast and lunch daily.
The 2nd green sits in the lap of the canyon wall, a slab of red Entrada sandstone glowing above it and a gnarled juniper for scale. Few public courses hand you scenery like this so early in the round—it is the shot that tells you exactly where you are.
