Amelia Island

Amelia Island is a barrier island off Florida's northeast coast, and the Omni resort (long known as Amelia Island Plantation) is its golf anchor. Oak Marsh was Pete Dye's first Florida design, built in 1972 through the island's tidal salt marsh and heritage oaks; a $7.4 million Beau Welling renovation reopened it in 2025. Long Point, Tom Fazio's 1987 course on the Amelia Island Club side, carries the oceanfront holes and is open to resort guests on a limited basis.

Rounding out the golf is Little Sandy, a ten-hole par-3 course that opened in 2022 around Red Maple Lake—an under-an-hour loop for a warm-up or an evening. Off the course it's a full resort: broad Atlantic beach, maritime forest, a spa and a spread of restaurants, with historic Fernandina Beach a short drive up the island.
