Today it's a state park: ten miles of beach, a preserved Historic District, and public golf that punches well above its green fees.
The golf runs across three courses totaling 54 holes—all par 72, all set in maritime forest and dunes. The headliner is Great Dunes, Walter Travis's resurrected oceanfront design; Pine Lakes and Indian Mound round out an easy, unhurried multi-course trip.
